A great little forum aimed at the kiwi writing market. Its small, so you can actually hold a conversation with specific people. Features regular challanges which provide great motivation, especially if your competitive.

One of the first forums I joined. Great place to get feedback and critiques. Tends to be down often with technical difficulties, they kept saying they've fixed them...
Absolute Write Water Cooler
This site is huge. Is probably the biggest of the forums. But its hard to keep track of everything thats going on. Actual agents and publishers also come on occasionally.
NaNoWriMo
Apparently its possible to write an entire novel in a month. I've never had the time to make the effort. Maybe next year. Lots of amatuer writers hang out here.
